Thank you from USAY!

USAY would like to extend an enormous Thank You to all those who supported the organization through Odgers Berndtson’s “Guinness & Green” fundraising event last week.

Your generosity has made a world of difference to our little organization and we are so grateful to be blessed with such a wonderfully supportive community.

Stay tuned to see how your donations have impacted our agency.

In friendship,

Success!

A big Thank You! to all those who came out and supported our AFA funded “NDN Interrupted” performance on December 2nd & 3rd at the Dutton Theatre.  The cast did an amazing job of bringing the characters to life, and the audience enjoyed the humour sprinkled throughout.

Hopefully we’ve started something here – let’s keep live performances alive in Calgary!

“NDN Interrupted”

Come join USAY on December 2 & 3, 2011 for our “NDN Interrupted” performance at the downtown Calgary Public Library.

Our program, PLAY (Performance Learning for Aboriginal Youth), provides an opportunity for Aboriginal youth to learn acting and performing skills from those who are more experienced, and has been generously funded by the Alberta Foundation for the Arts.

A dark comedy that explores the consequences of our actions, “NDN Interrupted” is written by local playwright Telly James and directed by Gemini Award winning Michelle Thrush.  ”NDN Interrupted” features our local young and up-and-coming talent as well as established performers, such as Julian Black Antelope.

Tickets are $5 – available at the door or at the office.

Participants receive bus tickets, lunch and snacks both days, and get to walk home at the end of the 2 days with the canvases they build!
